[WIP] DoD_Cool(Project title)

Hey all, its me again..
This map is the result of quite a long time of mapping, and quite a few different map ideas. This is the one that survived, and so far is coming out pretty well.

Right now gameplay isn't completely set up, but it will be a flag cap for its first release, after that we'll have to see. The map is supose to be comprised of a German supply route that the allies have started to take over.

Allies:
Capture the Supply route.

Axis:
Defend and retake the supply route.

Very nice atmosphere, everything looks good, except I'd work on the church more make it look better. Keep it up!

I'm keeping an eye out on the e_poly and using models to fill in the details of a rural area in Europe.. it would have trees and bushes, and I can't make that out of brushes...

thats looks very cool...
but make the water with a texture size of 3*3 an a rotation of 33
makes it looks nicer
and give the trees a shadow!!!

Well I've added a little bit more tonight, basicaly just details now that I know how its all running, added some vis block to help my compile and the r_speeds, but quick question how do I make a shadow on the trees again, haven't gotten to that point in the detail of a map in a loooooong time.

the func_wall brush with the wood texture for your tree,
has "light flags (zhlt 2.2+)"
select the "Opaque (Blocks Light)"

Looks good, but the lightning is overall bland.
U could also try another skybox??

With func_wall brushes as shadow source such trees will block fire in some areas. Use func_illusionary, FX Amount = 0, Render Mode = Texture.
You can also try zhlt_customshadows for softer shadows.
