Your Employee's Axis Infantry ReWorked

These were always my favourite axis models along with devin kryss hacked ones.

anyway, i just converted them to 1.1 and i started working on them too, they will feature high poly boots from devin kryss hacked models and also the helmets, historicly correct signs/ranks/medals, Model fixes for parts you can see through, High resolution model parts such as the iron cross medals, SS eagle signs and ranks and so and so...
Model edits by me, some gear changes, new sniper with a very nice cap i found (I dunno who made it, i think it's a devin kryss hacked model for 3.1 but some1 might have made it so), anyway i changed the hat textures and resized it to have a better quality of the new signs, also the beret for the grendier and the cap for the unterofficer were resized so high resolution textures could replace parts such as the Totenkopf skull sign and many many more other cool new things such as modeled shoulder straps etc...

All the faces are based on russ conscript germen para's (model) and some of the textures too, 2 textures IIRC are a mix between your employee's texture to RTCW/Russ textures so they will fit the model and at the same time enjoy the high resolution and good model parts ;-], maybe one of the textures is from RTCW from A to Z but im not 100% sure about it.

The sniper body texture is a texture i had on my computer and i really got no idea who made it so i will be happy if any one would tell me who did it, cause he did a damn fine one.

The new thing in this pack is that i acctualy skined something there :P and modeled few parts too, hope i could take things further and bring more original work, this pack might be another model mix by me but trust me it won't look like any other model.

Poly count goes from 1600 to about 2100 maximum.

notice that on the picture the officer got an eagle sign on his chest not fitting the SS, I just noticed that lately and i will fix it and also the sniper is NOT from the SS, not by mistake.

Comments, Suggesting and Critics are welcome ;]
Cheers.

OMG, I want that sniper now.

What about the rest of the classes, specifically the Grenedier and Sturmtruppen ones?

looking great !!!!!!

Also i have some suggestions :

i thing u should add another cuff title for example "Das Reich" cause the Reichsführer SS Division was not a Elite Division like LSSAH ,Das Reich, Wiking or Totenkopf and some others
I thing u should use the original faces from RTCW.
There are many faces to choose from , even Himmlers face or that of the mad scientist
If u have wolfenstein u can open the folder with the faces with winrar.
Also i think u should use the default helmet model cause the decals on devin kryss helmet look strange from far away - the reason must be the transparency - i have some nice ss helmet textures i can give u.
Maybe u can use other camouflage than in the original set cause i didnt like this camo

Thanks for the feedback :-)

First of all you did not see the other faces and 2nd i don't want to use materials from other games too much due to the fact it's not very legal.

the cuff title is not mine, it's from the original model and if i will replace one i will replace them all cause i want it to be the same group after all xept from the sniper.

I will think about replacing it with one of a more elite unit and give it a higher resolution aswell.

Mortar

DoD's normal axis infantry stands on 1200 polygons, usualy all those good looking models have around 3000 +

Another suggestion: Give the Unteroffizier more neck and chin. I loved the Unteroffizier costume and gear, but the lack of neck and chin kinda put me off.

i have no idea what the symbol is called, but the gryphon holding the nazi party sign, i like how its 3d and all but it stands out over the webbing strap, so unless the guy put on his webbing, then sowed the bage on afterward, over the webbing strap, he wont be able to get it off :)

I know ;-[
Since you don't really see the strap i don't think you would care about it but... i think it will look stupid to model just a part of the strap and modeling all of it... not sure ;/

the normal sign was in the texture and you couldn't see it at all... so im not going back that road again that's for sure.

what do you say?

I agree with editor, i reckon it should go under the strap.

btw, just to inform its not a gryphon its an eagle
dont mean to be rude but thats what it is.

A small update... im working on the ranking issue now and i made this officer, notice the shoulder straps are still not correct cause i haven't work on his yet.

I closed his jacket and scaled it higher in the end and now it fits more... i think.

wow those collartabs look amazing, but u should remove the breast eagle - only regular german military wore the eagle on the breast; allgemeine SS , Waffen SS , Police and so on all wore the only on the left arm

Mortar
02-24-2004, 07:38 AM
Thanks :-) i worked no those tabs a lot.

about the SS Eagle symbol, are you sure it's just for the left arm?

Nordvolk
02-24-2004, 09:45 AM
yeah im sure - but look at this gallery ,u see they all wear the eagle only on the left arm

Mortar

You are right, i even went through that gallery few times, i should've known.
anyway thanks for the info, i will edit the models.

btw what about the wehrmacht ? on the chest too or just the left arm ?

Nordvolk
02-24-2004, 12:02 PM
Wehrmacht, also Marine and Luftwaffe wore the eagle only on the breast as like on this pic.

but note :german police and SS police division wore collartabs very similar to wehrmacht- only other colors ,green i think-
but they wore the eagle only on the left arm too, cause they were no regular army troops

Mortar

I sincerely hope that's not the Unteroffizier, be disappointing to see him without his kickass Tank Commander hat in this pack.

That's not him ;]
