When I type Developer 2 in the console, "Decals must hit mod_brush!" starts spammin. It'll flood the console box like every 5 seconds of moving around.

System Specs:
Windows XP SP1
Athlon 1400+
Epox 8K3A
256MB DDR PC2700
GeForce2 GTS with 53.03 nvidia drivers
15GB 7200rpm Maxtor HD

I tried it on my friends computer, and it says it once and doesnt
say it anymore.

What does "Decals must hit mod_brush!" mean, and why does it flood my console box every 5 seconds.

Yeah it's got capt. miller and I stumped.

I posted on the dod support forums but I was told I'd have better luck posting here.

Can someone please contact the dev. team and ask them what 'Decals must hit mod_brush' mean. I would do it myself but I don't know how I would go about contacting theml.

Yes, and I expect a flaming/sarcastic response from the dod forum queen himself, instacrome.

I doubt the dod team has anything with this error to do.
But anyways, use common sense.
Have you placed any decals "in the air"? Or have you placed a decal on a surface, then carved/clipped the brush etc.?

Thanks you.

two words come to mind, dumb ass.

I guess you failed to miss the part where I'm asking for help, instacrome replys to my thread with a sarcastic remark, I reply to it, and you come in like some kinda of forum superhero to put in your 2 pennies which makes you feel better, but really makes you look like a punk *****.

Buh bye. :D

Please, if you have nothing useful to add to this thread, please don't post.

Now I'm assuming you are his boyfriend because you have vast knowledge of his wenis, which I'm sure you use as e-slang for p_enis.

Then again, your post doesn't make much sense at all.

I'm sorry if you are "Mr. Instacromes" boyfriend and I insulted you. You must get this a lot: "Stop riding nuts"

Buh bye Mrs. Instacrome :D

I don't care wether the dod team has anything to do with this problem, all I'm asking for is "WHAT DOES IT MEAN".

Once I figure out WHAT IT MEANS, I can start figuring out why it is spamming my console every 5 seconds.

If you would take the time to read my post instead of thinking how you are going to flame me next, you wouldn't have anything useful to contribute to this post.

Buh Bye :D

If you do not have an answer as to what "Decals must hit mod_brush" means, do not reply to this post. Thank You. Yes, that means you.

You sure showed me.
But if you actually want help with this, then answer my question first, that would help us in getting closer to a solution.

Firstly-
If you want anybody on these forums to help you solve your problem, quickly take some anti-pimpleface-pills and change your assy attitude.
I can't be arsed looking into your problem when you go *******-of-the-week as soon as somebody makes an ironic statement about your pointless remarks ("DOD team doesnt know what they are coding into their own game").

Secondly-
If you tend to go further and piss more people off with your immaturity, do yourself a favor and don't insult those that have contributed heaps to the game that you are trying to get help on as it makes you look all the dumber.
Insta is a great mapper, and has done some mind-boggling contributions to the custom map scene. That said, I textured a bunch of the official Day of Defeat maps and contributed tons to the custom map scene by releasing a huge amount of my textures to the public (and still more to come)

Thirdly-
Normally I would offer help and wish you good luck solving whatever problem you may be having but this time around I think I won't and leave it at an indifferent "buh bye" instead.

To instacrome:

I don't mess with custom models/sprites, my dod is all default.

I have no clue what you mean by "Have you placed any decals in the air", "Or have you placed a decal on a surface, then carved/clipped the brush etc.?"

I don't make textures or models or mess with anything that would have to do with that.

Now, here is my question:

What does "Decals must hit mod_brush!" mean?

The first step to finding out why it is flooding my console every 5 seconds is to find out

what does "decals must hit mod_brush" mean?

Atleast your not making sarcastic remarks this time and are trying to help me with this problem that I have.

To kleinluka:

Did I put a gun to your head and tell you to read my post and reply to it with your thoughts?

Didn't think so.

I believe all I was asking for is

What does "Decals must hit mod_brush!" mean, and why does it flood my console box every 5 seconds.

Now, since you OBVIOUSLY do not know what it means or have any information to add that would help me, you just decided, "Hey, I have nothing to do with the rest of my 90 years on Earth, let me go piss someone off by flaming them on a post in which they seek help."

I never met you, I really don't care for/about you, and I just wish you would seek a life and stop replying to any of my posts.

Now go find someone else to piss off with your stupid thoughts which they don't really care for.

Buh Bye :D
