{ Textures - Problem

05-06-2003, 09:48 AM
In this screen of my map you can see the windows in a house and the line of vegitation on top of the wall behind it, they are both func_walls with {textures on them, annoyingly, any {texture I use in my map is displayed very brightly. Does anyone know a way to make them darker, or a setting to use in the entity.

Also I was thinking it could be becuase of the settings I used for RAD when I compiled, bounce 0, also I did fast VIS.

Anyone?

I believe there is a entity that you can use to change color/darkness of a texture. Fuzzdad gave me a run down of it on the old forums but unfortunately I wasn't able to save it before they went down nor do I remember all of it.

Set your Func_wall tab to "solid" not texture. I had the same problem.

Set to Solid, amount 255, rgb 2 2 2 (any rgb works really).

If you add an rgb to it, the solid does not glow and accepts shadows on its face.
