Alright, I've got some working Russian player models (check the Requests forum, the 'Fuzzy Hat' thread, yeah I know it's the requests, if a mod could move it for me, that'd be great) and I'm close to a release here. But here's the biggie. The Russian weapons are obviously quite different from the American and British ones. Some guns I can fake (Mosin Nagant) some I can't (DP-28), so, do you want me to release these now to work with American weapons, or do you want me to re-animate the reloads and such to work with Russian weapons. I'm inclined towards the latter, it SHOULDN'T take me too long, but we all know how well I stick to release dates. :D

to you mean reanimate to work with British weapons? If so then I chose the second one I would rather have the russians replace the british.

No I mean have them look right with the Russian weapons. A PPSh is held by the body, but the Sten is held by the mag. So you've got a Russian trooper running arond with a PPSh held one handed and his other hand grabbing onto thin air out in front of him. If I reanimate that to look proper, then it wouldn't look so goofy.

I think you should reanimate them, i'm a little confused what you say about the sten though, because the default sten is not held by the mag. The other thing is soldiers where not trained to held it by the mag either, as it was prone to causing jamming. I think it's only the movies that portray the sten this way, but in the real world i bet very few soldiers held it that way.
If you where trained to use a sten, you where trained to held it this way.

I tell you what i do like about that footage is the smoke coming out of the side of the weapon, i've tried to recreate this for dod but failed, but if someone with more experience then me could pull it off, it would look great on alot of weapons.
Although i do admit that when i get around to finishing and release my Mk2 sten, i'm thinking i may release it with it being held the proper way and also a version being held by the mag, just to add a bit of variety, as they say it's the spice of life. By the way has anyone got a sound for the sten like the one in the footage, if so please PM me with it please.
Anyway ill shut up now, before i get accused of trying to hijacking your thread, apart from i'm looking forward to seeing your finished pack.

We've waited for quite a while, I think we can manage to wait some more. :)
Take your time and make them as good as they can be.

It all depends on what you feel most comfortable doing, Cheeto. I know it's a lot of work and you're under a lot of pressure from a lot of people.
