I just downloaded a German model with trench coats which is really cool so I go into a flash server and I see all Germans wearing trench coats so I ask someone if I am wearing a trench coat and he says no. I though models were supposed to be a thing where all the other players see just you in it, why cant they see me in it but I can see them in it?

and does anyone know any good sites to download dod models or skins cause I have looked everywhere and I cant find any good sites the only good on eso far is editors321.

Yeah, basically you see what models you have installed on your pc while playing dod, and other people in-game with you will see whatever player models they have on there pc's..

It's not like Enemy Territory and other such games, where the skin pack has been enabled on the server for you to use it.

why do you want everyone else to see it as well?

the whole idea is to make it look better for YOU, the user
so you can use models that suit your style/taste

It's already lag-inducing to have to download custom sprays from the server. Imagine having to download a hundred megs of player models at every map change.

Oh, the pain...

There is no point if its a deahth match game like Quake 3. Because then you are the only one who sees the skin you like, but you're the only one with the model, and it dosn't make the game look cooler, because they all have their own (defaults) but in DoD if you DL an american and axis pack, you change the whole look of the game, instead of seeing the somewhat boring defaults you have a totally diffrent experience.
