I was walking through my first release dod_adrenalin_b1 and laughing at how old it all was, and how much it has evolved into adrenalin4. talk about nostalgia. :p
anyways. i was wondering if some mappers could post some before and after screenies of their maps. Id really like to see some from glider (i faintly remember the original 1.3 version) and bridge/repunzal and beirville too. In anybody else has got an old version of one of their maps, it'll be great to see some comparison screenies of them as well.
These are the ones i took from dod_adrenalin.

What a difference: Bierville B5 on the left (and I lightened it up too!) and the current release on the right.

wow! i remember very faintly the map dod_defeated. I never knew it was the origin for kraftscoff, but by those screenies i can definately see some resemblences!

you will also notice that every version of kraftstoff = complete texture overhaul and even though some buildings look very similar most versions have had most of the brush work redone because as i got better at mapping i hating seeing things with higer r_speeds than they needed to have, kraftstoff probally went from like 1200 > 1000 > 800 > 700 r_speeds at the worst points as the betas of the maps progressed, even though the areas were actually getting larger and the detail increasing lol.. its all in the skyboxing technique :)
edit: you will also notice that as defeated became kraftstoff it went from a small seaside village to a large town lol.

I have some pretty ancient pics of Glider from the testing stages waaaaay back, these are from the oldest build I could find when I searched my archives, so they're probably the oldest you'll find unless Fuzzy or someone has some to post.

And of course the movable box comic also made in the tests. :D

And since I'm spamming Glider pics, I'll add my comic too!

That version wasn't ever publically released as far as I know. Myself and some of the other iNw channel regulars tested it for Fuzzdad during the 1.something days.
