Nice man, also what do you mean by spade on the helmet?

506th PIR, and from the mark on the bottom of the Spade I'd say Easy Company, as at the time of 3.0 Band of Brothers reference shots were "all the rage" and were included with 3.0 on(isn't that the 3.1 para model? Looks much lower poly than the new models)

Correction 2LtBen, but the 6 o clock tic means 2nd Battalion.
There was A B C for 1st Bn, D E F for 2nd, and G H I for 3rd...
wat i mean by the spade on the helmet is thewhite thing u porbably cant c to well it is the spade like a the card spade
if u have any questions or requests for this model please let me kno and i will try my best and it was pretty easy to make
in photo shop i started from the orginal skin that came wit dodv1.0 and i used some pictures of reenactments like the spade i will work on it more today from the internet
and thank u guys for replying thank u guys for everything o and no it wasnt the 3.1 para model the 3.1 para model is the same as the para model in v1.0 so i turned it more greenish and am adding more thing u probably already kno that tho

Looks good mate, nice one.
If you've got time could you try a make a more meshed up version. Stuff like tears in his jacket, bit of blood on his face etc So far i don't think anyone has tried to make one for V1.0.
keep up the good work,
Ska

I love the blood runnign down the left side of his face, its looks very very cool. I'd keep the blood on his face and hands only and jus make the uniform look a bit scuffed up and dirty. Looks very good, nice one,
Ska
thank u i am finishing the faces now and will paste pictures then i will work on uniform

Keep it up. It's very good work for your first time at skinning. Can't wait to see what you do with the uniforms.

Oh, before the jump into Normandy, the bigshots were afraid the 101st paratroopers wouldn't know what unit eachother belonged to, so they organized helmet side markings. For each Parachute Infantry Regiment(there were 4 in the 101st) was marked with a symbol from a playing card, a Spade, a Heart, a Diamond, and a Club. Along with these, the marks on the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock represented each battalion. I'm not sure but I think it goes like this, 9 o'clock for 1st Battalion, 6 o'clock for 2nd Battalion, 3 o'clock for 3rd battalion, and 12 o'clock for HQ Battalion.
ok i am gonna paste all of the faces 4 u guys 2 c then i go work on da uniform

These look great! Good work!
If they're renamed, can they be used as infantry models?
i'm not sure i kno in 3.1 u could do that but they would have mohawks i think i would have to have sum1 decompile or use a prograam to do that but i'll look into it for u i am puting the finishing touches on them now
i like it, very unique. Just dont go overboard on the blood, they were'nt using swords to kill each other ya know.

You're close, 1st Battalion "tick" was 3 o'clock, 2nd 6 o'clock, 3rd 9 o'clock, HQ 12 o'clock.
There were 3 Parachute Infantry Regiments, the 501st, 502nd, and 506th. The fourth regiment was the 327th Glider Infantry Regiment. All units of the 101st used helmet markings (the 82nd did also but they are seldom seen in photos). If the parent unit was battalion sized rather than regiment (for example the 326th Airborne Engineer Battalion) the tick mark represented the company assignment rather than battalion.
alright guys i'm gonna get this hosted 2morrow so u can get it then if u guys want me 2 change anything i will ok and wen i get it hosted i will paaste a link and again thanx for all your help and tips

Don't worry about it. The way the system currently is, it's really the only way to show a number of pictures of your work. We understand that. As always, it's more about the "why's" than the "what's" if you get my drift.
Looking forward to the release.
thank you very much that is good to know and i also emailed dod editing center for a host and they will have them up soon
