Here are a few preview pictures for the map dod_nordafrika that I've been working on the last little while. I don't believe I've shown anything here yet although a few may have seen some of it so far. Anywho, here you go...
-note- There are a few little nit-pick things in the pictures that I'll touch up on next compile, so far the highest r_speed is under 600/4800.

Not bad actually. But it definitely not looks like a dod map..

looking good. solid brushwork and nice textures. Try to add some broken elements though. The town looks a little "desolate and forgotten".

Looks good, but rather like kind of CS map than DoD's. Add some DoD atmosphere - rubble, models, etc. It should look more war-time , now looks quite modern.

I like it! :>
And as said before, add some rubble and stuff :)

There are a few elements of rubble that aren't in the pictures. Actually, there are a bunch of areas I haven't shown as well, but I'm actually working on making the area destroy as you play, so objectives and other activity will weather down the map as you go along. Walls will crumble, roof tops collapse and stuff just generally blows up. With that said, the premise behind the map that this is a nighttime/evening airborne drop into a fairly inactive area of North Africa calls for the map to be mostly undesturbed and quiet.

What type of gameplay are you envisioning? Looks great. :)

A quick pace, I want to keep everyone moving, so by having stuff exploding here and there it'd be incentive to not stay still. I'm also working on a capture the area and spawn there kind of deal, so that you want to take over as much area as you can to gain ground throughout the map. I'm working hard on a style of objectives that haven't been done yet so far as I know, we'll see how it goes.

Looks good. My recomendation would be to put some sandbag positions for mgs / defense to stop attackers from coming in (assuming allies are coming from outside the town), barbed wire, tank traps, the usual.
Reminds me of algiers, from MoH, which had good atmosphere as well. I wouldnt be surprised if this was the inspiration for this map. Good luck and hopefully we'll see it played on the servers.
