This map is made by me and Spine.
I've done the brushwork, and Spine did most of the textures.

Kirkenes is a village in Norway. Under WW2 it was conquered by Hitler, who used it to send troops into Russia. For the rest of the history and infomation click here (http://home.no.net/dafnie/info.html)

This is a beta, and it contains some errors and bad r_speeds.
I'm working on the r_speeds though. The sky im using now is not final. Im getting a new one build as we speak.

I'll try and check it out tonight, but I might not get to it till after X-mas. Looks nice though and from the overview, it looks to have some circular gameplay as well as Brits. Interesting. :)

a very great map :)

looking really awesome... nice textures and layout.

i especially like the brits spawn area :cool:

found this map over a week on kustomkettle and tryed to make some sturmbot waypoints for it. but the brits got problems with the flags... they´re hanging ever around the first 2 flags... but only the brits... axis work fine! i really dont know whats the problem is..?? but ill try to fix this problem and make some good working wpts for this great map!

can i have a look at the waypoints? i Know im not as good at waypointing as you but im still learning. it would help me a lot and mabe (but probly not :p ) be able to help with the problem (two heads can be better than one ;) ).

oh... great looking map!

sorry m8

Jowo (creator from the sturmbot) himself will take a look over this, coz im not the only one who got this problem!

but the best way to learn about waypointing is... take a look over finished and good working waypoints. thats the same way i used to laern it. here a tip from me... most of the other waypoint creators do a big mistake in placing her waypoints with too much space beetween the points. make sure you create 1 waypoint go 2 steps and create another one. thats the optimal distance. ;)

there is also a waypoint tutorial available from Gooofy... check it out here.. http://earth.prohosting.com/frigass/wpt_tut.html

my waypoint tutorial aswell as my private website are still under development...

cheers for the advice
iv found the same problem with the brits, although i have found some other errors in the map itself (big and small).

the brit spawn: on the wooden walkway to the far right were the bottom of the hut meets the top of the wall there is a 'gap'.

the axis spawn: outside the spawn protection there is like 'ice' on the path... you walk along the path and you slip.

i like the cave thing in the middle, i havnt maneged to cross it yet but its a pretty cool place

*godcha- how do u use the create/remove path when making waypoints? i can never get it to work.

How about moving the middle flag to the middle of the map instead of top. Moving it to the middle would shift the action to flow in then out. Instead you have it going down then up and over. For melee this might be fine, but this map could be good for team play. With that being so placing the flag in the middle would allow for more fluid gameplay.

start waypointing by typing the following commands into the console...

"waypoint on"
"pathwaypoint on"
"autopath" (standard is ON)
"waypoint teamspecific" (standard are NON-TEAM-SPECIFIC)

i bind the sturmbot menu on the F5 key..

console command: bind "F5" "sturmbotmenu"

set your first waypoint by typing...

F5 = sturmbotmenu
7 = edit waypoints
1 = add waypoint

go 2 steps and set another waypoint
to create a path from waypoint 1 to waypoint 2 and back.. go to waypoint 1 and type

F5 = sturmbotmenu
7 = edit waypoints
5 = paths
3 = add path

go to waypoint 2 and do the same 2 times... (2x add path... the first is to close the connection from waypoint 1 to 2 and the second for the back path). then go back to waypoint 1 and add a path again. now you have a path from waypoint 1 to waypoint 2 and back! very easy ;)
