this is wat i ahve done after much hard work, its a 3.1 splash screen i was using back in 3.1. and after alot of cutting and pasting and editing and all that other crap that makes it uber hard to make splash screens, i am finished, i also im using CoD music pegasusbridge.mp3, this music fits in so well, and gets rid of the terribly annoying and offputting 1.1 music. heres a pic, tell me wat u think, and if enuff ppl like it, ill get it hosted witht he music....

Can someone who has it post the guide for cutting the images up? I used to have it but I think I might have deleted it or just lost it entirely.

This is great! I'm dying for something to replace that boring picture u get in Steam.

Can u make some splash pics from some other WW2 pics?

Here is something i copied from a thread i posted in when Dod 1.0 was released, it may help some of you, in making your own splash screens.

Ok heres how you replace the splash screen.

1. Get yourself a nice 800x600 Pic, that you want to use.

2. Open it with a Graphic Program and cut it into pieces like this:Example Pic (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/scitzo/splashtemplate.gif)

3. Here are the names and sizes of each image:
800_1_a_loading.tga (256*256 Pixel)
800_1_b_loading.tga (256*256 Pixel)
800_1_c_loading.tga (256*256 Pixel)
800_1_d_loading.tga (32*256 Pixel)
800_2_a_loading.tga (256*256 Pixel)
800_2_b_loading.tga (256*256 Pixel)
800_2_c_loading.tga (256*256 Pixel)
800_2_d_loading.tga (32*256 Pixel)
800_3_a_loading.tga (256*88 Pixel)
800_3_b_loading.tga (256*88 Pixel)
800_3_c_loading.tga (256*88 Pixel)
800_3_d_loading.tga (32*88 Pixel)

4. Copy all of the images into seperate windows and save them as tga files, using 32bit Color Depth with the names as seen above.

5. Create a folder in ../Steam/SteamApps/your@email/day of defeat/dod and name it "resource". Create a new folder within that folder and name it "background". Copy all *.tga into that folder and restart dod.

I made a quick example Splash screen to test it out.
