If you need a map or model hoster I will put it in a .exe and put it on my website for FREE.

email me at bull3t@kingmaker-mod.com and send me the files.

cool thing that you are offering this for free but i never understood the point of putting a map in an .exe file instead of a .zip - other than that it makes people think twice before they double click D:

What don't you understand?

It's quite simple really, an exe file is so much easier to use. You just click it and in installs straight to your Steam DoD Folder. ... simple.

I put all my downloaded zipped maps into exe files for my own use at home, saves so much time messing with zip files. (No I don’t have to point to my Steam DoD folder, the install does that for me)

As for exe files being more dangerous, I don’t believe it to be a problem. Any file in a zip can be contaminated, the big difference with an exe install is you have to run it to install it, the possibility of an infection is increased … so what … the file has to be infected in the first place for it to be a problem.

Any numskull with half a brain checks all files downloaded from the Internet anyway … right?

Back on topic:

/me wait to see how long this map/image/model host lasts before the traffic goes too high.

Hopefully you have a big company behind you willing to pay for it :)
