I want to slightly change 1.1's dynamic crosshair. Can it be done?
Already tried some customxhair packs but i'd like to keep the dynamic movement.

cheers

ps: i tried changing the dodcross.spr with one i editted but it came out wrong. It came from 1.0 so that'll probably be it.

Can someone maybe extract the dodcross.spr from 1.1 gcf? Then i'll edit that. I tried Jeds post but the link is down.

just find out the original dodcross.spr and hud.txt

put it onto a /sprites directory under your /dod ...

just modify your dodcross.spr as you want, then modify the coordonates of the crosshair in the hud.txt

don't ask me for that files, I have remove all custom
dynamic Xhair I have made :)! But IT IS possible to do so...

I'm just getting into this editting a bit (=edit newbie) so if what i ask is silly then let me know also :)

I reccomend my Crosshairs as they include a modified HUD.txt and look really nice.

I would never recommend something I myself do not use.

get them:
Here (http://dodec.hlgaming.com/filedb/pafiledb.php?action=category&id=34)

I 'Think' they should work with 1.1
Theoretically
however 1.1 has changed many things and due to Valves 'Steam' has disrupted the modding comunity.

most custom models now don't work anymore... ect...

...and my supperior Mk3 crosshairs are MIA.

i finally managed to make the crosshair i wanted.
it's a bit like the default cross but the top bar is gone and there's no dot in the middle.

Your crosshair looks alright, except it's not symmetrical.. I've been trying out a few dynamic crosshairs from 1.0 in Steam and they all have this problem (default included). Has anyone figured out how to fix this?

I think I'll just be sticking with my static custom crosshairs for now..

I've seen some post about this yes. If it's not symmetrical for you then i really don't know how to fix it.
Before i posted i was testing it for these issues exactly.
I looked and tested as good as i could and all i can say is that for me it's as symmetrical as it gets really.

But again, i'm new to all this so i may be wrong about it. :)

Well, I said it wasn't symmetrical based on your picture, but yeah, I understand that's about as good as it gets at the time. :( Good job, anyway.
