Hi there

The map is now on preview stage.
It's an objectives map, pretty original gameplay. 2 rounds, 2 sets of objectives displayed on the HUD.

You start in the village, and when the allies have opened the gates and launched the cable car, round restarts and everybody's in the castle, with new objectives sets.

hey, the atmosphere is great! don't touch it! I think this might be fun to play because I can see 2 kinds of gameplay, cqc and some sort of long range for rifles wich is good! You have a little bit problems on your texture alignment and you could improve brushwork a little more on houses and rubble/piles of snow on the road. What are r_speeds btw? Looking great anyway, keep up the good work ;)

Looks very nice, make the tables look a bit better, but overall it looks great, what r the r_speeds. some brush work on the village pic could be improved.

Hm, this castle looks a bit chinese, and some indoors (adler3) egyptian.
On village.jpg there are a lot of difference in sizes of windows in close buildings. Some buildings have different textures on walls.
But gameplay looks interesting.

For the most part the map looks good but the scale of the buildings does not look right and i disagree with some of the texture choices and brushwork

I think the 2-stages-of-gameplay idea is very nice! We don't have that very often. Good work! :)

Yes there are 2 kinds of gameplay. In fact there are 2 maps in one. Something ala Zalec, but more significant.
Barkmann didn't talk about the r_speeds because they are allright (Come on Jack why didn't you talk about the r_speeds of this map that does run fine on low-end PCs LOL?).

Chinese or egyptian, no, it is in Germany. I guess the mappers did have serious references to do such a map! They did obviously some innovative things, beyond the 2 sets of objectives on the HUD. What's your opinion Kehldon?

"Where eagles dare", exactly mate, except, in the movie, the allies are dressed like germans! We couldn't implement this in game though. So, the map is regular US infantry versus german paratroppers. FG42 powa :D

Release at the very beginning of the next year!

Well the castle is supposed to be german, but Im not a great architect. If anyone can make anything better with acceptable r_speeds, Ill bow my head! :P

As Kruger said, the map will be released very soon, we both must get back from the holydays first...
