Umm do a matching face cuase itll be kinda strange having black hands and a white face...

The British army was the least segragated of all the armies at the time...There were quite a few (looks for word) black people...

indeed there were plenty. however, at least in the american military, they were often regarded as unfit for combat and were assigned to roles such as cooks and drivers so theoretically, if they screwed up, it wasn't a critical situation. a few were in all-black combat units led by white officers. interestingly, in every photograph i've seen of a negro american soldier, they're holding crappy m1903 springfields instead of garands. go figure.

side note:

am i mistaken, or don't black people have lighter skin on their palms and the inside of their fingers? i haven't seen a black person in a long time, nor do i think i've ever shaken one's hand, but for some reason i'm pretty sure they're two-tone on the hands. not that i'm going to be using this skin, i'm just pointing out something that doesn't seem right.

anyways yes there was black soldiers in the british army. black soldiers were mostly seen on the african front with british weapons.

so please dont let this thread turn into a racist bashing here

The 92nd Infantry that fought in Italy was an all black unit, and by the last few years of the war many US units were being integrated, particularly the tank corps and engineers, but all other units as well.

I don't know much about other nations, but I know that many black American soldiers emmigrated to France after WWI because they were considered war heroes there, so I wouldn't be surprised to see quite a few black men in the French army, the Foreign Legion as well. The Italians, British and French all had colonial armies in Northern Africa as well, they were composed largely of African Natives commanded by European officers.

It would be interesting to see the percentages of Blacks in combat roles in the various armies during WWII.

great recolour, yes the inside of the palm sees less sun so doesn't tan as much so yes the palm should be a "two tone" effect. great skin, nice to see the diversity.

on a related note? have u ever seen a film called the Tuskeegee Airmen? all about the first black air squadron, 332nd wasn't it? flew P51s in italy and in europe, symbolised by red tail fins, they did ground attacks and bomber escourts. fantastic film! if i rememebr has some good lines in it :)

in fact if i rememebr i skinned the P51 for dod to match their paint scheme, was a great paint scheme.

anyway good work on the skin i look forward to a Version 2 and possibly even a player pack. even tho i dont play dod anymore, im sure others would like it and use it. good job keep it up! :)

Here the BMP, simply open you're weapon model with HLMV (http://www.wunderboy.org/download.php?file=jeds_hlmv_v1.0.zip), click on "Textures", choose hand, click on import, choose the blacks hands bmp, save your model and enjoy ;)

thats because the models are saved inside the gcf file in ur steam folder i think, i use custom models so its easier for me but other then custom models i dunno

see how this thread, and apparently society itself, has degraded? someone can hardly mention race without saying something harmless that is misconstrued into a horrid racist comment. granted, the n-word is inappropriate in most situations, but something like "not that i love black men" is clearly a goofy little joke. flying off the handle over me mentioning the hands not seeming right for british weapons was not appropriate, and just goes to show how much pc bull**** has been shoved up our collective asses, and sadly people buy into it. it's especially irritating when someone not of or associated with the race in question makes a big deal out of it. let things go. if you don't play ball, they won't be encouraged to continue.
