Ok, here goes. This pack will replace all british weapons except the piat and bren gun. The pack will also include sound replacements for each weapon. Im awaiting final animations and then they will be released. The replacements are as follows.

Going down the list, the cloth wrap on the silenced sten looks repetative, the wood on that pistol is very red, and the delisle looks great all around.

How are they coming along!?

My reload animation for the Delisle that I made is total crap but there arent any animators that I've been in contact with that have any time to do anything with it. If anyone can help me out it would be great. I just need the clip to be pulled and inserted back in ala carbine as the delsiel loads via clip.

Oh wow this is awesome, they look very nice but that 22 pistol handgrip needs to be a little more brown.

I have much anticipation for this pack aswell as you commando player model one.

Hopefully the compiler won't take to long to reach us. I'm dying here, the original playermodels are a pain to play with (except for Americans though).

Oh well, I hope this will be on my harddrive sometime soon.

I've been wondering about this and the couple of Lewis guns that were in production a while back... Sadly, I hardly play anymore, so I suppose it would be redundant for me to push anything.

They are in the capable hands of Cheeto right now and he is tweaking away. Patience is a virtue. I'd like to shoot the guy who came up with that one lol. The pack will be done once Cheeto can get around to my delisle in between his other projects.

I'm patiently waiting for some delisle action here...at the current state I can't even try the brits out cause I'm so sick of their arsenal.

If this pack (or atleast the DeLisle) could be released any time soon I would praise Allah, thank Santa Claus, spank the easter bunny... and so forth. That's how glad I'd be.

Cheeto is animating the Delisle as we speak so hopefully I can release sometime in the near future. This has given me some time to put some more finishing touches to the rest of the models like a custom commando sleeve texture and compiling my commando player models for 1.1 Again, I hope for a release soon as Cheeto is animating away.

This is the one thing I want the most for DoD now, so I hope Mr.Cheeto can whip something together quickly and still make it look good :D

This will be one big pack with player models and weapon models as well. If I'm adventureous(sp) enough I'll release accompanying sprites at a later date to go along with the models.

On a side note: I BOUGHT A MOSIN NAGANT!!!!!!!!WOOHOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, had to let that out :)

Lewis Gun? 8D

This is not going the way of the Lewis Gun. I'm reskinning the player faces because the stock british are so Old looking. I apologize for dragging this out but I want this to be a quality release, not something thrown together. I also have my buddy working on sprites for me so again I'm not letting this die, rather I'm working towards a total and complete package.

That face looks great man, but you could use a little more contrast I think, to make it look less flat.

In that screen shot, your holding the sten by the barrel/silencer tape. The guy your looking at is holding the silencer by the mag.

Do you think that you could make them match up?

I would hate such a perfect pack to have a little imperfection.:p

why is it an imperfection? You happen to be holding yours on the stuff on the barrel, that doesn't mean the guy next to you might not be holding his by the mag =P

ask the dod team that, they are the ones who made the animations.

I honestly dont have the patience to go through and edit the player animations for the sten. Its taken me this long just to get through making, editing, and skinning, and all the rest so when I get the basic pack done(I hope sometime soon) I'll go back and make things perfect.

Ok the weapons are done and ready to be hosted cause I'm tired of getting nasty emails from geocities telling me I've exceded my bandwith lol. I'll attempt to upload the pictures to the forums but I dont know if they are too large or not. Again, the WEAPONS are done and need a host so if anyone can help out....editor......wink wink;) that would be great. Images work but sorry bout the resolution cause of the limitations of the forums:(
I only uploaded the guns that I made or edited. The Bren and Enfield Sniper are stock with the same commando sleeves so I didnt bother to upload those. The sniper delisle didnt work out as I planned so thats being left out of the pack.

Ok, life got interesting the past week. Gun Cleaner in the eyes.....dont ask...., 47 hours at work, and driving to Baltimore to fix my girlfriends computer. As such, I'm just now getting my computer turned on after a week of it not even being touched. Apologies for not getting this out but I'm busting my ass to get it done and out there so I can finally clear out my Inbox lol.

I'm guessing relatively soon, just hoping it's more soon and less later. And just food for thought, not everyone uses p/w models of replacement guns, regardless of how they look. They add a lot of polies and even cause my semi-fast pc slow down on certain maps. Waiting to release the sten til your models match the holding animation, I wouldn't worry about if I was you. Get it out when you can, but some of us really just want the vmodel :)

I think it would be for the best if a version 1 was released first and then followed up by a version 2.

We've waited forever on this and lately it's been too quiet.
Plus, not all of us are interested in p/w and new player models.
I am interested, but I feel I could wait for that...I'd rather have the weapon pack to start with.

But maybe that's just me...I don't know.

I personally think dod had quietly died or is on the way, this pack might never be finnished because of thw simple lack of intrest and time. DoD is now offically old school unless they do something soon.

No, the pack isn't delayed because DoD is 'dying' It's delayed because Joe has slightly more important things to do (life, the universe, and everything) than make models for free as a hobby. But if he wants me to help him finish and release it, then I'm happy to help out.

The weapon models minus p/w are being sent to Editor tonight for hosting. Hope this satisfies everyone till I get everything put together to complete the pack. Enjoy.
