nice map you got there skdr, allthough for myself if I make a map I try to avoid as many streetlamps as possible and make them some kind of hanglamps against the wall to not make the player pissed because he got blocked off a streetlamp. It actually decreases gameplay for a part. Still nice looking map ;)

that looks really cool. Kind of reminds me of dod_oslo. Althought the layout is very different, and seems fun.

Wow! Good job skdr. The lighting/atmosphere/overview/layout all look fantastic. Sorta disappointed that you lost the darkness.

The only thing that looks odd are those overly pointy pieces of rubble in the street. Somebody might get hurt and poke their eye out :/

I've run around the newest version, I'll have a preview up on dodmaps.com tommorrowz. Let me say this, the pictures don't do it justice. In any case, it's definately the #1 most beautiful map for hl I've ever played, tied with campagne. And from the layout and runaround, I'll bet gameplay's pretty good too. My only comment is that the interiors need more detail, ie chairs, tables, clocks. atm they're pretty empty. Rox otherwise.

Thanks alot. Lighting is the same. No changed made to that. It might be my gamma setting in dod 'cos those arent default configs that I used to take pics.

Rubble. Yes they look nasty. I'm gonna wait what other people say about them in the playtest. Im sure they will be redone for the public beta.

Thanks m8 :) I gotta agree with you here about the interiors. They lack of that "feeling" and I'll spice them up before release.

I'd hate to see the lighting bill for that town...its a bit OTT considering the light levels. If it was darker I could understand...but its your map.

I have no idea what happened to the light. light env has exact same settings just like before in old builds. I used same compiler, same settings etc. I have no idea why its brighter.

Check your gamma/brightness settings...I seem to remember seeing something in the 1.1 buglist about the game modifying them.

We just had a nice playtest w/ 18-20 players last night and it was a lot of fun. The map plays pretty quick but has a couple places where its easy to hold up the enemy. The ambience is really nice.
