Though i love recoloring and rework textures and stuff, im a total noob in modeling, i know pretty much 0 about working in 3d envierment but at some point i'll guess i will also have to start working in that field too.

Here is a small question.
There is the MOH Garand that was riped i think by dillinger ? no idea who did it, anyway i was working the textures a little for myself and i thought... i don't need the sling metals if there are no slings at all, right ? lets remove them i thought, how hard can it be in milkshape ? i tried playing a little in the program and as i told you i dunno anything... i just ruined the whole reference file and the model with it.

so... i ask the experts here, how do i delete parts of a model ?
Thanks in advance

Small SS of the part i want to delete:

I havn't used milkshape in a while but this might work. Open the reference file to work on. (the model) then check the box for vertice under the select button. Then delete the rings after you select them. Then export the smd and recompile. I don't even know if that's correct as like I said, I havn't used milkshape in a long time. Maybe someone who has more experiance can help you more.

and why when i select a small part sometimes other parts which are not really connected nor i wanted to choose getting marked?
