if i rename the para files for the regular infantry will it work?

No, the submodels are different for the infantry models than they are for the para models, you would end up with strange visual errors.

Leading to such results as this failed attempt :)

that sometimes happens anyway... the invisible thing.. i dunno why...

i converted para to regular once and only thing wrong was they had no helmets... i lived with it, no biggy
