Weather bug

Hi again,

I have a little problem using the weather FXs (especially rain) in my actual map (see signature). As you may imagine "downtown" means high buildings (about 4 to 5 levels). So the sky is high above the ground. And that's where the engine sucks. Rain FXs will make DoD crash...

Any ideas?

(And no: There are no leaks or other odd things in the map. I've changed only from weather None to Rain)

Did you notice the Mapping forum has a sub-forum?

In config.cfg set particlefx to 1. Then ingame set it to 2.

Ok, then tell me why rain/snow works without editing the config using a more "normal" height of the skybox?

this problem has never been solved. we ran a long thread on it in the past. use the search tool.

Ok, that's what I wanted to know. Maybe the actual SoHL code fixed it for further updates of DoD...
