nice...but why would the Kriegsmarine be in mainly inland situations? Shouldnt they be out prowling on Allied Convoys or something?

In late 1944 and early '45 excess kriegsmarine personel were formed into several 'marine' divisions. Not being trained ground soldiers, they generally performed poorly in combat situations.

I thought the Kriegsmarine uniroms were more black than blue, have any refrence pics of that uniforms? Also, shouldn't the eagle decal on the helmet be golden?

Last thing, he appears to be wearing gear that should be hanging off a y-strap, yet he's not wearing one, so it's just kind of floating on his back.

Yes i know, can someone edit the model and get away all the things in the back, and the spade.

very nice, i have one suggestion, no helets. It would look cooler and maybe a little more realistic, maybe a cap for a few of them. then somoene should make a ship, or a dock map.

That's some secksi looking beard on those Kreigsmarine models. I'll be one of the 1st to give 'em a try when they're released.

I know Trigger already answered some of this, but also early in the war coastal batteries had Heer gunners and Kreigsmarine spotters. (In theory, better trained at ship/target identification.) In situations like No.4 Commando's raid on the Varegville(sp?) battery on the Dieppe raid, the British fought several of the Kreigsmarine personell on land.
