Problem with compile

I hope this is right thread to post at, um when i try to compile i get same messeage every time that a brush is wrong, so i go into hammer, map, and go to brush, and i type the number in but it says it does not exist? I don't know how else to find this entity.

Either you have an "empty entity" brush, which happen now and again. Press alt+p and check, and if there is one, click Go To, then hit Delete.

OR

You're using the translucent texture, which has that nifty visblocking effect while its not solid. The problem is, you've put this texture on a entity brush, which can't be done (entity brushes can't block VIS, but the translucent texture is telling the engine that it can, which causes errors).
Remove the translucent texture from the entity brush, and find out another way of blocking vis :P
