Finnaly i got round to finishing it, the M1 Carbine by Nomad.
I reskined 95% of the old metal but kept some features such as the clip and other small things with Polygons Metal.
Should release soon

It just does :D
On the subject of the metal part at the end, Please, for the love of GOD, in all that is FRICKEN HOLY, SKIN THE BUTT TEXTURE. Its so ANNOYING seeing a blurry, messed up texture, which is what you get on most custom carbines.

even the standard dod one lloks shocking in the fact that the metal at the back real looks all low res.

there is only a thin metal plate on the butt of the carbine, not a big one like above... go by this.

the fact that i dont see no "please go by this" or "try going by the picture below" is very very rude..(not saying your pleases and thank yous) it isnt even a suggestion it is more like you're telling him to go by the picture... choose your words more wisely next time.

Think the metal looks too light. Doesn't match the wood very well, and the wood looks blurry. :(
Also - need to fix the texture alignment on the metal, some black lines are showing.
Weapons did lose their dark bluing after being exposed to the elements for long periods of time, you do realize that, right? It's called weathering. It is a nice, weathered, M1 Carbine.

Great job once again Brut. I truly admire the talent you have for metal and wood making. Was that all from scratch? And if so, is there a set process you go by to make it or do you just "dab a little here, make a dodge there" etc etc?

If I were into humping inanimate objects, consider that model on my A list.

this is just a suggestion...
since people have now begun to animate slings for various weapons, can someone work on that for the carbine? there are so many carbine models and skins out there and this one is already better than most, so why not make it stand out even more with an animated sling?

Genie - I made a metal texture from scratch a few months back with help from a tut. I've totaly forgotten how to do it now but i use the same metal texture for every bit of metal i do.
As for the wood i start with a wood texture which i took with my digital camera from somehting or other i cant remember what.
then in photoshop i add random noise with a brush i downloaded and randomly dodge and burn different parts and it turns out like that:D

just a suggestion...
can you fix the back part of the carbine where the metal meets the wood... its messed up on every single dod carbine model ever made so i figure i might as well ask you to try and fix it on yours.
and can you add the ammo (magazine) pouch on the butt of the gun like this...

I've said this before...The messyness comes down to the skin being stretched which has to do with the mesh, i dont know how to fix that and i dont know how to attach things. But this carbine was released back in 3.1 but there was no w model so thats the best i can do.

lol i know it would just be for the p and w anyway and lets see if we can get someone to do it for your carbine because i saw it like that on JAJAHUS carbine model and liked it a lot.
