I have been busy with RO recently, and am waiting for 1.1 before I reinstall DoD. But still plan on doing skins when I get some free time.

Saw a release of someone's K98 with a sheath, and decided I'd work on a hi-res version of the sheath. Here's what I've got so far.

JUST THE SHEATH SKIN IS MINE. The wood isn't mine.

im not too fond of those kind of wood i rather perfer the photo ones u did...

isnt the sheath supposed to go over the muzzle to hide the flash? O yah, nice work.

Maybe you missed the point. This isn't a reskin of the K98. It's just a reskin of the sheath. The wood's not mine, nor is the model.

That texture looks too busy to me. I think it's the high contrast, but I'm not crazy about it. I suggest you lighten up the dark parts of the texture a bit.

Edit: Let me clarify a bit, the weave of that cloth is far too wide, you need to tighten it up and remove all the gaps that are now filled with black.

i'm not a big fan of these things to begin with, but this does look pretty good.

..i just state an opinion where i said i think the wood u make would look better than the wood that it have on right now....

As for the gaps in the cloth, I was thinking of making those transparent to see how that would look.

Some transparent holes would be nice imo, but not loads :O

When the new transparent feature became available i tried to make a transparent sheath, but it looked crap, mind you i made loads of holes in it, so maybe try what [SLHR]Gen says, it will probably look better.

i personally dont like the sheath with patterns in it. it makes the sheath look too busy.
