Weapon V_models the old way or FOV way

I'm just wondering if the modelers on this forum will be using the old way of building a weapon model to scale or the FOV way where you size the weapon model in an odd fashion to make it look better from your FOV ingame.

Here is a pic of my WIP Sten MKII, i have sized the model to the same scale as the dod default one, using the FOV way and tweeked the origins, do you think it looks better then the old way.

I can't make my mind up which way to go.

Which way will you be using.......?.

Sorry i can't do that, the model is going to be remeshed and then polygon says he will skin it.........:)

Yes please, and looking foward to it........:) and if you think this is a lovely model then i'm hoping you might like to make some new anim's aswell for my lee enfield when i've finished it, now that is shaping up lovely.

Sorry can't do that, but i might release my version 1.0 of the higher poly sleeves though, check FOV pic for screeny. As i will no doubt make a version 2 of these sleeves with 512x512 textures for the british pack me and jed are working on.

Expect to see more about that soon.

Problem is that it's a pain in the ass to taper the model like that without the taper tool on 3DSMax. Milkshape doesn't have it, and it'd be incredibly difficult to mesh a model that was built in that style.
