Springfield 1903a4.3
Here I am again to re-release the re-released version of my springfield. I've taken the default Springfield stock, retextured it, and added my own high-detail bolt and scopes.

There are two types of scopes, an m73 similar to the default and Unertl 8x, each one has three variants, one with a grassy looking kinda ghille wrap, one with Bots green cloth wrap, and one without anything on it at all. I added Ripa's modified hands with Dillingers glove textures to the six versions of my Springfield.

I haven't made p_models for these yet, and I doub't I'll get around to it any time soon, so you'll have to pretend you're the only one with such a neat gun. However, as a bonus, I've included a p_model springfield that has a bayonet attached to it. I saw a picture of somebody once with a bayonet on their Springifeld, and I thought it looked cool and did it for myself. Now I give it to you to enjoy and ridicule. I have no idea who did the original p_model, but it does look pretty close to the models included in the pack, so they go well together.

Thanks to the DoD Edting Center for the host.

I could host it for you, but I can't seem to be able to see the pictures nor be able to download the model. Trigger, can you or someone that has already downloaded the model send me it? You can contact me via E - Mail @ Charizard964@msn.com or via AIM @ Charizard964.

the long scope sorta looks like it's off centre, like it's been twisted around slightly o_O

Thanks for the mirror, Jacpwner, I appreciate it. I've edited my initial post to include the DoD Editing Center link.

Probably just an optical illusion, since it looks fine to me. Have you tried it out in-game?

Very nice. I think ill be using the 73w. Do you think you could do some P and W models to match.

and i would also like to see some matching p and w models for the new springfield models. also, does anyone know how i can make the front glass of the scope darker instead of the blue tint?

Much thanks to those who've commented. I'll get to working on the p_models eventually, but I have some other things to do first. I've been dodging Cheeto off and on for 18 months or so, so I figure I should just break down and finish the texture he wants. After that, who knows? Maybe a secret thing, people like things that are secret, makes them feel special. But I digress...

Also, any other comments or suggestions about the set would be appreciated. If there's any interest, I may stick a late war m82, the same scope used on the M1c (speaking of which, was there ever an M1a or b?) on there, and If I can find any, some higher detail sleves too.

Damn straight. :D BTW, I think this'd look a lot better if the gun wasn't as chunky and if you shined up the bolt metal a bit.

Well, either that or the scope designated m82 that replaced the Weaver 330c in early 1945.

I knew that would draw you out, mebbe I'll get on msn tonite and we'll talk, otherwise, I'll be working on it.

As for the Springfield, can you be more specific about the 'chunky' comment? I had a hell of a time getting the metal right, and it still didn't quite turn out right. In order to get it as dark as I wanted, I had to loose a lot of detail, but perhaps I'll give it another go and see if I can't shine it up a bit more.

I mean that the rifle looks fugging huge compared to the hands. I know that's not your fault, but it really could stand to be scaled down a bit.

if it isnt too much trouble, when you are working on that can you reskin the bullet to more of a copper texture rather than the bright gold color it is now? look at the stripper clip in this picture for reference.
