What are some of the best custom maps out there right now?

Also, where are some good servers hosting custom maps?

In STEAM, I don't see a lot of custom maps being hosted.

and soon dod_solitude as well. Rest of the cycle are stock maps atm, we´re trying to attract people to custom maps with slowly replacing stock ones with new ones.

Visit us and play with us - the more custom map players, the better. It all depends on your vote on our server ;)

It should help you install the custom maps with steam.

falaise, railroad2, campagne, cr_44 and stuka are propably the most popular maps amongst players and servers.

D/L Railroad2 yesterday, great to play that map again.

How about Bridge -- did that become Escape?

And Hill, I heard someone remade that for 1.0?

No, stuka and flugplatz are different. When I think about it now I really wish that stuka had been in v1.0. There is a Bridge2 and Escape is a new map that is unrelated. There is a remake of hill and it's true to the original with some added stuff.

Escape is based on Brigde2.

campagne, the two new officials, dayofdays, and good ol' hobofire are among the populars. I like june11 too.

Escape= Bridge2 + New Textures + New Obhectives

Yes it can, when maps are downloaded off my server it lags to hell, so I turn it off.

So what happens then ... I put one custom map on my map cycle (dod_cr44_b3) and guess what. When it's dod_cr44_b3's turn, the whole server empties :|

So I either have a server that lags to hell or an empty server. No one seems to be taking notice of the "Custom Maps Can Be Downloaded From blah blah blah" message appearing every ten minutes.

There were about 20 people playing forest, then the map changed to cr44, and there were like 3-5 people playing! I just left cuz it got so boring!

Our server is steam and it features a mix of stock and custom maps.

I know it's kinda cheesy, but with the right group it could be fun -- the mortars don't seem as bad as they were in the original.
