man i need some help on this project the first pic ull notic i change the barrel of the gun so it looks like the m-14 all i need now is the circled parts the buttstock ill prob get from the garand but the metal part where u reload is hard i dont know how to replace it.... i think it should look like the garand's reloading part but the bones and stuff make me cant save it...and finally the wood part shouldnt have a line running through it would e nice if some one can create an arch for the front with no line running through...

You'd be better of modeling one from scratch.

the buttstock can be created from the regular carbine by scaling and moving so all i need is a font and the garand reload metal

finishing converting a m14 for carbine all it needs is a lil hacking to make the gun more stright and bigger also will need a better reciever...

Looks pretty good, but would the M14 not be more appropriate as a BAR replacement? both fully automatic, same magazine size(I'm pretty sure anyway), the ammunition is closer to each other...Whatever though. It still looks nice.

Great work Strider, your work keeps getting better and better!

My only complaint is that you used the default garand skin for the reciever and rear sight section while the rest of the gun has the default CS skin. It looks kinda odd, if you can fix it however then that'll be an awesome hack job!

That looks surprisingly good, hackjobs very rarely come out that well.

Well the m14 was the advanced version of the m1 garand, and it did share the same reciever and seen in this pic:

*RANDOM RANT*
The screenshot i saw for CS-CZ still had the m-4 (and probably all of the weapons) ejecting the shells from the left side. As a left handed shooter that's fine, but not for righty's. I can't believe they didn't fix that.

I'm not talking about the actual reciever model, just the skin. It's got the Garand skin on it and it looks a little weird compared to the CS skin on the front of the gun.

PedroTheLion
10-18-2003, 01:49 AM
hmm, well the barrel looks alot better here than the last pic, but the meshes of the wood don't really blend at all :/
