[wip]m-14 need help from modelers

10-05-2003, 06:38 PM
man i need some help on this project the first pic ull notic i change the barrel of the gun so it looks like the m-14 all i need now is the circled parts the buttstock ill prob get from the garand but the metal part where u reload is hard i dont know how to replace it.... i think it should look like the garand's reloading part but the bones and stuff make me cant save it...and finally the wood part shouldnt have a line running through it would e nice if some one can create an arch for the front with no line running through...

ok adding a buttstock to the "m-14" from a garand isnt a good idea....it dont look right so some one please help me out and create a stock for this rifle please!!!

10-05-2003, 07:16 PM
You'd be better of modeling one from scratch.

10-05-2003, 07:52 PM
nice idea ...........but one porblem i dont know how to model.....

10-05-2003, 08:24 PM
somebody made an m-14 way back in the 3.1 days i think they still have it at www.schlex.net :D

10-05-2003, 09:28 PM
anyone knows what bone this goes 2?

10-05-2003, 09:56 PM
the buttstock can be created from the regular carbine by scaling and moving so all i need is a font and the garand reload metal

10-05-2003, 10:41 PM
why dont u convert this?

couldnt find pic of default origin ingame so....

My kickass reorigin :D

PM me if ur interested

I could be wrong but that looks like a hack of nomads garand:D

I think he's right =P

Maybe convert this one from CS?

10-06-2003, 06:25 PM
should just add on to the garand

10-09-2003, 11:25 PM
finishing converting a m14 for carbine all it needs is a lil hacking to make the gun more stright and bigger also will need a better reciever...

10-10-2003, 01:18 AM
all i need to do is some minor alterations and the hard part a new reciever..

10-10-2003, 11:02 AM
lookin good there. my only complaint is that the bolt looks too big. but other than that, great conversion!

10-10-2003, 09:18 PM
some more hacking here and there and this model should be finished

Looks pretty good, but would the M14 not be more appropriate as a BAR replacement? both fully automatic, same magazine size(I'm pretty sure anyway), the ammunition is closer to each other...Whatever though. It still looks nice.

10-10-2003, 10:41 PM
i know but i dont want to give up my 3.1 bar lol so carbine it is lol

10-10-2003, 10:58 PM
nice ima try 2 request an m-14 shoot :)

10-11-2003, 12:57 AM
i know the m-14 can go both ways semi and full it best fits the BAR but i just cant give up my 3.1 conversion bar lol heres an ingame pic

10-11-2003, 01:36 AM
that looks awesome

Great work Strider, your work keeps getting better and better!

My only complaint is that you used the default garand skin for the reciever and rear sight section while the rest of the gun has the default CS skin. It looks kinda odd, if you can fix it however then that'll be an awesome hack job!

10-11-2003, 09:25 AM
That looks surprisingly good, hackjobs very rarely come out that well.

Well the m14 was the advanced version of the m1 garand, and it did share the same reciever and seen in this pic:

The screenshot i saw for CS-CZ still had the m-4 (and probably all of the weapons) ejecting the shells from the left side. As a left handed shooter that's fine, but not for righty's. I can't believe they didn't fix that.

10-11-2003, 04:28 PM
im gonna release it later today and let other modelers have a crack at this :)

I'm not talking about the actual reciever model, just the skin. It's got the Garand skin on it and it looks a little weird compared to the CS skin on the front of the gun.

I see. And so it does look a bit off, but oh well.

10-14-2003, 10:11 PM
man a sheit load of work is need for a more better m-14..

10-15-2003, 12:21 AM

Maybe a new wood ?

10-18-2003, 01:38 AM
welp here another pic the front wood and back is diffrent cause the first m14 have jack up buttstock mesh while the other one have mess up fron so i combine them both..

10-18-2003, 01:49 AM
hmm, well the barrel looks alot better here than the last pic, but the meshes of the wood don't really blend at all :/

10-18-2003, 01:51 AM
dont trip soe textre editing or change of wood will solve this

10-18-2003, 02:15 AM
ok its harder than i think so if anyne want to tweak around with the texture drop me your email but in the mean time im gonna try to use marzy garand stock and fit it in the m-14

10-18-2003, 12:27 PM
heres another pic with marzy enchance garand and bute wood

10-18-2003, 02:00 PM
Now with a stap!!!!!!!!! im gonna release it after some ingame testing is done.
