Hey people,
I'm not really a fan of russian weapons but ran out of models to skin so i started skinning this SVT from the russian mesh pack, i cant remember who released it and anyway heres what ive got so far...

Lighting on that middle piece of wood seems a bit too much, makes it not match the rest of the wood. Looking pretty good, though!
Take a better picture, and redo the lighting on that piece of wood at the front.

That middle piece thats lighter colored is the bolt not wood....it is a rust colored piece of metal that can look alot like wood if your not careful...It might help to add some metal textures to it brut.

Or maybe not make it rusty =P I don't imagine a rusty weapon would be working all that great...A bigger screen would be nice, but that looks pretty good so far.

Yeah, that doesn't look like rust at all. Keep your regular metal texture and use the sponge tool with some dark copper red and touch a little here and there.

what i did was used my normal metal texture, and colour dodged a copper colour over it but i went a bit overboard with my lighting...ill fix that

Ahh, now that that's cleared up, I personally think it needs to look a little more roughed up.
