Default Garand Enhanced v2

Ok i've decided to make a proper job of this, hence v2.

CREDITS:
- Original Model and Skin: DoD Team
- Anim's Cpt Glimsharp
- Extra polygons and remeshing me

Version one had some extra polygons added to some parts of the Garand to make it look more detailed and less blocky.

Changes i've made to version two.

I've removed some polygons that where not needed, but the model still has the same detail, i've also added a hole in the barrel that you can see in the clip housing, rather then the normal defaut black dot. Also added some polygons in the clip housing, as i noticed some poly's missing when i added Glimsharps anim's.

The difference in polycount between the default and this enhanced version is 252 polygons.

The zip also included 2 slightly darkened metal skins and 1 recolour of the wood skin, for those that don't like orange..:). If you would rather use these skins, then use HLMV to change them.

I've also included in this thread the enhanced model in MS3D format with bones assigned, and also some Hi res meshes in the hope someone will make some nice Hi res Skins for this model.

Others can though. I like the default model, I hope someone makes a nice skin for this. GJ, I'm using it, but I'll probably be switching off with MrFu's, since I can't decide which I like more.

Excellent work!

I took the liberty of reorigining (that a word?) it to my own tastes, as I have done with all my weapons - its not quite shoulder view, and its not quite default view - its more of a medium which I like to think gives the feeling that the weapon is being held up and ready to fire, but not quite ironsight. It makes the rifles more comfortable to fire in my view, as you are more 'in line' with the weapon.

See pic. If anyones interested, and if Marzy doesnt mind, Ill release this origin. Once again, excellent work, and I like the new skin too :)

Could this enhanced model be available with the default reload animation and not Glimsharp one ?
Glimsharp anim is really beautifull, but it takes too much time so you can fire again before anim is finished and it's a bit weird (imo).

Nevertheless, wonderfull job :D

Finally! I was hoping someone would up the polies a little on the default Garand, maybe you can do the same with the Kar 98k. :p

you can fire as long as u see your bullet counter back up

I've been working on an enhanced default Kar 98, you can find info on it here.

I've also been working on an improved version 3 of the enhanced default garand, i've added a few more poly's and also a new US sleeve model. The model also includes a bayonet with anim, aswell as the normal butt smack anim.

for some reason i dont like the v1.0 stab animation. could u use the 3.0/3.1 one instead MaRzY?
