no offence to you, but you should allready have a host before you make a REL thread. Also, there looks like some texture mis-alignment on the bipod, you might want to take a quick look at that.

Since DoD lacks code to show the bullets of the MG-34 running out even if the animations are in place, this would be better as a MG-42 replacement. I made one for myself a few months back using the default '42 anim's and it looked grand. If you don't know how to do that, I can... my email is kaninchenohren@yahoo.com
is the error there that shows when ur gun is empty there is still bullets?

....so i cant use mg-42 animations for mg-34 it stills show the bullets eventhough everythings in order........damn o well im gonna fix the texture issue now......hope some1 can fix this and no i rather have this mg-34 as a mg-34 not a mg-42

..man its a trip i didnt fully read what speed says so i wasted an half an hour putting mg-42 animation in correct order ie downshoot_empty 2 downshoot1 <----in mg42 downshoot1 is as same as empty blah blah blah and when its fin it turn out that they still shot the belt of ammo gerrrrr.... o well im still happy that the mg-34 is beltfed instead of box box just dont look right....

youve got some texture problems goin on, with the bipod. looks like one of the guns other BMPs assigned it self to it.

ok i got it look at the pics ull notice that the bipod is place horizontialy while the belt is vertical the verticel one takes part of the texture of the body of the mg while the default model the horizontal one the bipod have its own texture the qestion is how u move the vertical bipod to horizontal?

beltfed vertical bipod
strider_d_3000
09-28-2003, 02:31 AM
default mg34 horizontal...not my fault//// its the model it self i guess???? I have no experience in modeling so i can fix this...
anyways the current dl is the best i can offer since i cannot model i cannot fix the bipod..only its creator can fix it and he is Ska_WARS!!!!

WTF have you done to my model! lol
You've pretty much screwed the mesh up there, probally when you decompield it you didn't bother realligning the skin or didn't edit the .qc file before recompiling.
Also as i mentioned in the release and WIP thread for this model (Which you obviously dint read) you cannot get the chain to disappear as the MG34 does not have the adequate number of animations. However the MG42 version i made will work fine.
I would of liked you to of asked for permission before you released this but i guess it dunt matter now.
BTW, I did not make the skin that was on my original version. it was an edited version of the DoD teams one so if you used that skin as a base please fix the credits to show this.

woa hold your horses there ska im using the default model's skin on the beltfed and already have ceds to dod team, second the first pic of the beltfed vertical bipod that one is the original beltfed unedited, third speed told me bout the ammo issue which is a real drag....so again the only that can fix the bipod issue is u Ska_wars your the chosen one!!!! I would fix this on my own but as i say again i have no modeling skills

Soz if i sound like im jumping the gun, jus got in from work so im always pissed off lol
You do know the bipod is from the MG42 so therefore has a totally different skin to that of the default MG34 don't you? If not that could be what the problem is. try using the default MG42 skin on the bipod and that might fix the problem.
If no it could be that the mesh got knocked outta line (often happens during decompiling)

if u read my other 2 reply with the milkshape pic 1 and 2 ull see that the prob is that in the beltfed one have the bibod runing downward grabing texture from the body of the gun where the default model have the bipod running sidways on its own texture i have no idea how to fix this and im hoping you can fix this whenever, and release it as a joint effort or teach us modeling challenged how to do it lol

try copying the bipod from the '42 texture and pasting it on the '34 texture wherever the mesh seems to be taking that part of the texture from. and if that made any sense to you, you deserve the goddamn nobel prize.

it wont work if i pase over whatever the bipod tex is useing the barrel or what ever that is shareing the texture will look wierd the only was to fix this is to move the mesh of the bipod the the top and make it lay sideways...

Some where along the line you have screwed up the meshes on this model, You might aswell start again with the original model, because it would be less work to start from scratch, then fixing the meshes. I wish i could tell you where you went wrong, but i have no idea.

I'm not looking at the pic's i'm looking at the model, that you posted a link to, and the meshes are screwed.

it was like that on the original model so its out of my hands to be fixed..look ill just redl the belt fed one and throw in the default model's texture and add in the origins and bet u that the results will be the same....
strider_d_3000
09-28-2003, 06:19 PM
heres the model i only compile it once posting the regular beltfed one next
strider_d_3000
09-28-2003, 06:27 PM
heres the original i brighten it to prove a point and only compile it once....notice the bibod it the same... so it isnt my fault that the bipod is like that geez so there isnt a "Some where along the line you have screwed up the meshes" cause it was like that before..........

Here Strider, let me help you out here.
click here to see what's wrong (http://www.shade-of-grey.com/stuff/pub_upload/hereiswhatswrong.jpg)
ok, here we go.
This is a close up of the left bipod and the texture bmp it uses.
1. The circled yellow area is the general area of the currently assigned bipod skin.
2. The blue circle is where the mesh should be. (that should be assigned to the bipod)
3. The area in pink is what appears to be (from your second mesh pic) a large area of skin that isn't applied to anything anymore, there was a model assigned there, but now it's empty.
4. The 2 teal lines show the general start and finish of the bipod skin on both the BMP and model.
5. The small orange star shows 3 red lines, those are transparent and are supposed to be assigned to the rear sight only (it goes horizontily on the bmp skin).
To fix the mesh problem, open the reference_smd file and select the majority of the bipod by vertice, try to get only the bipod and not the rest of the gun. Then go to texture application and put it where it should be. (rotate it of course). This is somewhat tricky to only get the bipod but patience gives better results.
I'm not saying your hackjob is horrible, but you just need to fix that problem and it'll look much better.
I am not one to complain about others typing (I can decypher l33t speak and understand "awkward" posts, so reading internet posts isn't a problem for me.) but sometimes it's kinda hard to understand what you posted. I'm not saying ur grammer stinks but some periods and commas would make it easier to understand. Also, to save DOD forums space, just edit your posts to add new text instead of new replies. (Sorry if I sound like the internet grammer patrol.)

.......omfg let me make this clear its not my model geeze it did not mesh this for since i cant model geeze if u read my other post i stated that the model is ska's and i just slap the orginal mg34 skin on it.....and further more i am aware of the bibop being horizontal and in ska's mg its vertical therefore grabing the texture downward in stead of the orginal place.... but ill try my best to fix this u got my word on that
