Looks good. Ever since i played the old Empire game '101st: Airborne over Normandy' (ah the joys of turn based games) I've been after a M2. What year were these introduced cos I can't seem to get a straight answer off anyone lol

jeez man these arnt alienoid allies were talking about...carbines didnt have bayonet fixtures (im pretty sure) and they didnt have banana clips...they had 15-20 round box mags, but as for detail, i guess ur model looks good

they had a banana clip, you could attach a bajonet to it and they had 30 round mags and they were full automatic so i guess u'd make this a thompson replacement :)

Look at the size of that fecking scope! jesus! lol
'101st: Airborne over normandy' was this old turn-based game by Empire Interactive. You could have an M2 on that but you were restictied to two per battle i think. it was an okay game but turned based sucked cos it took about half an hour to move your squad into battle lol
Looking good so far, keep it up.

well, this is the M2 carbine, not M1, it was fully automatic and had a 30 round banana magazine. and all carbs, afaik, had bayo fixtures. m2 didnt really come around until later in the war, and i think it saw more action in the pacific.

The M2 never saw much action at the Western Front. Mainly because the war ended there before the M2 Carbines manufactured already could be delivered to the frontline troops.
Model is looking real nice, GJ.
LOL that is one FAT scope on a carbine...why a scope on a carbine??
Ahwell its looking good mate.. keep up the work :)
The carbines didn't come with bayonet slugs until after the war. Sorry.
The scope was an early infared scope used on Okinawa.

Well, I got a new pc last week so i had to format my hd....
but i will make again.... ;)
release soon....
to be honest i had forgotten it but thanks for the reminder...
:D
I'm almost certain the M2 did not see service in WW2, even though it was invented. It was used extensively in Korea.

It saw just about as limited service as the k43, so i dont see much wrong with having it. I think it would make a cool thompson replacement, so i could finally feel like I was owning with the carbine.
Plus, not everything that gets released here has to be 100% realistic to the time period. Some people need to get that in to their head.
