omg this is not your model you are a STEALER
Why don't you ever reskin the entire model? With Jed's new HLMV you can have the original texture maps.

Rommel, Knock it off. Don't clog up this thread because you can't handle your own immaturity.

Irony? Understood. But when that's all you post, it's called spam.
From what I can see (black screenshots are to dark to see much on my monitor) it looks great. Keep it up.

Hm, maybe it's the pic, but the wood looks too shiny? Like it has a glossy coat on top of it?
Just a tip from my perspective, maybe try to make the wood look not polished. Should look smooth, but rough. If you can figure out what I just said , godspeed! Because I don't think I understood it. :D

But you've released like 4 different versions of Nomad's model, none of which are totally your own.

It wasn't a complaint, you oblivous idiot, it was a question. Why don't you ever skin this entire model?
Reaver: I'm meshing my greasegun now, but I'll be damned if I give that slapnut the mesh.

meh...u were complaining...and the answer i because the metal is good enough as it is
Really? Because last time I checked, asking someone a question, then telling that person how to get something wasn't complaining.

Mike - If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all. And if you have criticism, try to say it in a way that doesn't come off as you being an *******.
My two cents.

There's the mother****ing question mark, Reaver. By the way, you might want to focus more of your attention on your own grammar and punctuation instead of mine.
Dillinger: What I said (quoted above) shouldn't have started anything, but Brutal took it upon himself to bring back what is now history. Good job, Brutal, you turned your own thread into a flame war.

Why do you care what people think? Are you insecure enough about your opinion that you need other people to reaffirm it?

this fighting is dumb.
Brute, your efforts are appreciated. But, it seems as though your style is becoming a bit hackneyed. some suggestions i could give you:
dont be afriad to use more lighting. the garand wood you made is great, but the lighting is a bit poor. it would look awesome if you added more to it. also, after adding lighting, you could add some discolorations and scratches to the wood, wich would be visible in the lighter areas.
and although the wood is nice, try different collored woods, or different textured woods. throw in a bit of variety.
as for your metal, all i can say is: keep workin on it. (not referring to garand metal, i know slinky made that) it looks good, but like your wood, it could be better. lighting seems to be a major factor here. you need to get it just right; if it is underlighted, the skin will look bland, and flat. over use of lighting can make the weapon/metal look like plastic. Try taking a BMP of polygons metal, or slinkys metal, and try to imitate the way its done; then throw in little bits of your own style to make it unique.
what do i think of your garand? Nice, but with some work it could be great. :)

You originally said that u asked a question refering to this state-ment above which clearly has no question mark.
And as for tuning this into a flame thread or whateva i think everyone accuses you because you have has a thing for Brutal and your comment above is having ago at him. It's like you are saying its not good enough because its been skinned a hundred times before so it has no credit.
What do u mean none of your own? What makes a skin totally yours to begin with? A Skin from Scratch? Well Brutal has skinned heaps of models from scratch, its just that u think his skinning is newby so to say.
Anyway good job Brutal, anychance of fixing that little bit beneath the chamber thing it looks white ingame so maybe just colour it more.
PS: i will get u that ingame shot. :)
No, if you had any motor skills at all this wouldn't be so much of a problem. I was clearly referring to my first post. Go back and look through my posts in this thread, did I ever once say it wasn't good? No, I didn't, I merely asked why he hasn't released a complete reskin of this model when he clearly has access to the clean meshes.
