Phokus's site is pretty good, tested it out when downloading vandori's skins. Got about 1MBPS

HOST = server of some sort, you can host a website, or host an ftp server. if you are the host for a gameserver, then you are the one that is paying for the server and bandwidth, or you are paying a company to host it for you but you have control over the machine or settings on that machine.
if youre interested in server hosting you can contact www.verio.com I think they have some specials going on untill the end of the year.

With many of the DOD great hosting sites now shut down we at www.dssgr.net feel compelled to open our doors an except people who need hosts for their webpages, maps and other material. We are a large gaming commnuity with a lot of interest in DOD. We can host your website and provide an exellent place for people to download your maps for free. We can also offer you free servers to play test your maps. We have a bunch of players who would gladdly show up and help you find problems. We can have you setup up with ftp access and everything. Just PM me if you are interested.
