I'd like to try and edit the death messages and pictures.
Anyone know how i could go about doing this cause i cant find any jpg, bmp or sprite in my half-life directory that i can edit

I've not tried editing sprites, but to my knowledge you need to download a couple of programs.

Sprite Viewer (http://www.valve-erc.com/files/?download=/files/resources/sprview.zip)
Sprite Wizard (http://www.valve-erc.com/files/?download=/files/resources/sprwiz.zip)

Sprite Viewer lets you view the .spr files in your dod/sprites directory (you're not seeing any editable bmp's or jpg's because they are in .spr form). And Sprite Wizard allows you to make your own.

Thanks dillinger but i've got those programs and still cant find the death pictures, i used the viewer to search through all the sprites with no luck. Anyone know the names of the files i'm looking for?
