This could be a fun project. Let’s see if we can convert the Brits to US marines.

What needs to be done?

Player models:
Probably the most difficult and involved part. Ill have to look some reference pics of the uniforms. At the very least this will be a re-skin and maybe will need some modeling.

Voices:
This would be fairly simple just go through the current US voices and rename to the British file names.

Weapons:
Again this should be fairly simple: Just rename the Thomson models to the Sten file names. The Bren to the BAR and the Scoped Enfield to the Scoped Spring. The only thing that would need some work is to make an un-scoped Spring to replace the Enfield.

Flags, maps and objective icons.
Simple renaming should do for the Icons.
For the Flags the textures will need to be swapped, this can be done simply with HLMV.

Ideas, suggestions, comments?

I might even give it a go when i get the chance. The regular US inf could easily be reskinned to by marines (jus cammo added really) and only little messing with the .qc file would be needed.

Not a bad idea at all, but here comes the real question.

WHY DO YOU WANT TO GET RID OF THE BRITS! 6 years of fighting not make us good enough for you eh?!? lol :D

You wouldn't put the Marine pattern camo on the brits if you were going for the early pacific look ( which is what you are, seeing as you're using the ww1 style helmets). Just tan colored fatigues are needed.

Full camo would probably be a mistake, since the Marines abandoned it for the most part after 1942, and the pattern used is quite similar to several SS camo patterns that people may be using for their German player models at the same time. I'd definately change to m1 helmets, unless you are going for a very early war Philippine look.

It's a cool idea though, something original at least. All we need now is to replace the Germans with Japanese.

How about converting the US to Brits, we can use the lewis as the MG class then.........:)and the Sten mk2 and mk5 can replace the thompson and grease gun.......:)
