showing fps/wpoly/epoly with dod retail

Does anyone else have this problem
or does anyone know a fix
developer 1 and then r_speeds 1 show's all fps/epoly etc numbers in the console
but as soon as i leave the console all the relative numbers
goto zero ?
any help or can nothing be done about it ?

I did...but not with retail...and I can't seem to remember why or how I fixed it. I'll let ya know if I remember though. =\

Try setting dev 1 and r_speeds 1 in the command line you start DoD up with and I think it will work. I have had similiar problems in the none retail version of DoD.

Try to remove the overview map on the hud :)

Yup...do this: Start dod in -console mode (add -console to your startup string). Once DoD starts use the console window and type in:
developer 2
r_speeds 2
map <mapname>
Once in-game hit your mini-map key until it goes away. You might also have to disable your hub objectives with cl_hud_objectives 0
That should do it. Other commands to try then are:
gl_wireframe 2: Shows you the wireframe being "seen" by the engine...crucial for r_speed reduction
thirdperson 1: puts you in 3d person mode so you can judge scale. Use the camera controls to position the cam...I think they are cam_idealpitch, cam_idealyaw, cam_idealdist. Play with them until you get comfortable w/position
