[MREL] Camouflage Axis Infantry

Here's something I whipped up really fast and liked enough that I thought I'd share.

Using the 12th SS-Panzer division skins by Flammenwerfer, Captain Higgins, Sargent. Smash, Devin Kryss, JAJAHU, and Rusty as a base, I decided to do a little reskin of the main camouflauge and helmet.

I replaced the Grenadier, Unteroffizier, and Sturmetruppe's main skin with a different camouflage pattern, and replaced all the helmet textures with a photorealistic Straw Camo pattern helmet, that matched the new camo pattern nicely. The other, original, camo patterns are the same and are the work of their original creatores, listed below. I hope you like it, I really do! :)

FEATURES:
- New camouflage pattern for Grenadier, Unteroffizier, and Sturmtruppe
- Photorealistic straw camo pattern helmet texture.

CREDITS:
Original Skin - Flammenwerfer, Captain Higgins, Sargent. Smash, Devin Kryss, JAJAHU, and Rusty
New Camouflage Texture For Grenadier, Unteroffizier, and Sturmtruppe and New Helmet Texture - Dillinger

I could really use a mirror, so if you could help me out, I'd appreciate it.

UPDATE: Since I got some positive feedback, here's some extra goodies: a sleeve texture that uses the same camo, and a helmet.mdl reskinned with the straw camo pattern (also has a bullet hole and a tad bit of blood, comes with no bullet hole/blood skin as well, so if you don't like it, just import helmet_noblood.bmp)

Read the readme for all the info on how to replace the sleeve textures and where the put the helmet.mdl, if you don't know.

Hey, these are looking cool!
Did you use any reference pics, or was this all your idea?

Dillinger

The new smock texture I skinned was based off of some pictures found off google. Couldn't tell you what I typed in, though! I forget! Haha. I think it was something like "heer camo" or something.

As for the straw helmet texture, that was found on a website that has pictures of all the german helmets used during WWII.

The links dont work because these were released in August 2003;)

And they would also need the animations updated to work with dod 1.1c.

hah, i thought those models looked outdated. and i believe i used that helmet texture on all my axis dudes about two months ago. that sleeve is nice, but there's so much dod **** i've downloaded that there's no way i would ever find it in my folders, if i got it at all.

Can't convert these until I find a legitimate link, sorry guys.

Tis a shame. Judging from the screenies, those models rival DK's. :(

If Some1 got the original model or the texture files since i don't think it's a diffrent axis model than the original please send it to ohad_gefen@yahoo.com and i will convert it, thank you.

the first pic must be wrong cause its a pic of Sanitäter´s Landser Models but Dillingers description fits to the link i gave you and the pics in the other posts fit to my link too

but if u want he model from the pic in the first post u have to look for DIE LANDSER by SANITÄTER on dodec.
But i dislike those Models and all the ssv4 models
here is the link http://www.edgefiles.com/file.x?id=/hlgaming.com/dodec/dielandserdielandser_Lms.zip

i edited them them to work with 1.1 - they were a reskin of Flammenwerfers 12.ss and so i only had to change the helmet smd a little and put dillingers textures on it - also gave them a new had from Prestons Norweger Freikorps- ia also edited a few things, i gonna release them on schlex.net

Yeah, but nord should have made a seperate [wip] thread, because this is about a diffrent set of dill's models.

Wow. Had no idea anyone liked these very much except me. :)

Glad some of you guys like them!

Dillinger m8, we like it but no1 can download it cause the link is broken and we can't find the one you posted here nowhere, can you please update the link ? :-)

Dillinger
02-23-2004, 11:22 PM
Sorry about that! Link was taken down quite a while ago. Luckily the lovely folks at DODEC have it hosted.

Also updated the main post with this new link for future reference. :)

Yes but dillinger, those are not the models that you showed us in your first post.

Dillinger
02-24-2004, 10:24 AM
Yes they are. They are the identical models with the exact same picture.

I have downloaded them and compared them with the ones I have in my old folders. They are the same as I released in August, and they are in the Archives at the DoDEC.

What makes you think they aren't the ones I posted?

"Date Added: 5:57 PM 8/26/03"

I mean, I think I'd know if they were the models I released or not, and they are. :)

Nordvolk
02-24-2004, 12:06 PM
lol thats a completely misunderstood - they were right cause the pic in the first post was wrong -now its right ? - maybe because this thread is so old - but i thougt they talk about your skin anyway -
the model they meant was this as i think :

Dillinger
02-24-2004, 12:21 PM
Those models were never pictured in this release.

I never reskinned those. The link I just posted was the original link for the models I originally posted in this thread.

I have no idea why anyone thought I reskinned Die Landsers models.

Silverghost
02-24-2004, 06:05 PM
I dont think anyone else does either. Oh yeah, good to see to Dil :)
