Neato burrito.
nice. but I'm curious about the roads. have you ever looked at msot of the WW2 roads properly. very few of them are the nice tarmac we have nower days. DOD map locations especially are 99% likely to be cobble dirt of gravel.
good work though.

Thank you everyone :)
Happy you seem to like it.
Considering the road I actually thought about larger cities and so on.. But yet I'm not sure how the roads did look right then.
But you will find different cobbleroads as an alternative :)

If I could advice something - please make always few variants of one "style" (wall+windows/doors) - with windows, with doors on lower level. If you uses windows with shutters make one with shutter open other with closed, maybe another with broken ones, etc.
Make doors at least Gordon size. Best - 76 or more pixels.
As for type you could make I would like too see some good sidewalk textures. I have trouble finding good ones. The only popular one is that from jagd, but for me it sdoesn't look like real sidewalk from WW2 times. This chould be kerbstone + larger rectangular sandstones. I can find some photo if you wish.

Thank you.
I have a lot of variations on the walls. Ones with doors, windows just on top, broken places etc.
Considering the sidewalk that was a good idea. I'll try to make some :)

Also, maybe make totally destroyed walls/roofs (with blue 255 ofcourse) for those of us who are having trouble keeping the face counts down one our maps
its np with the textures they are good. I'm just trying to make sure you know, cause some peole don't and your almost guarenteed to get someone making an entire german city or something using modern day roads.
look forward to having to use though buddy :D
Nice! I've a new map I'm working on and some new textures may be just what it needs! =)

I have one more idea that can be useful. In cities there were often small shops, craftman workshops (tailors, shoemakers), confectioneries, etc. at lower part of buildings, often with bigger shop-windows. If you could create some (just lower half of building. I have provided (http://www.freewebs.com/khyrlik) some sample pics.

Now the wad contains almost 150 textures. And more to come.
I will try to make some water texes to put in. Also some more shops. After that I think it's ready to go hopefully.
Perhaps some more transparent textures as well.
A pic of the shops I made today:

i have a question.
do u have more versions of several textures, for example, when u have a wall with 2 windows in it, do u also have the same wall without the windows. those textures can be very usefull for sides and tops of buildings.
anyway love ur textures like i always loved them. maby some signs of streets and citys can be usefull. Thanks...

Thx, and yes. All walls have several variations with windows on top, windows on bottom and top, sometimes special edits like vines etc. And one with no windows at all.
I also have some walls with just general seamless stone without any trims etc.
Damn that is some nice shizzle.

I promise that's last one :). I've added some pics to better show what I am talking about.
1) Textures of apartments buildings. Ones with tall narrow windows like on pics. The best would be lower part (ground floor) different than upper, so upper could be repeated creating more floors, but if you will make only upper that will be good also.
2) Textures of buildings with walls of red bricks, there are on bottom of the page. Alternatively you can look at new map by IR - dod_escape (formerly dod_repunzel), I couldn't find such walls' textures anywhere.
3) Some artistic railings for balcony. Just some a little more than simple vertical bars. There are also shown one some pics.
Looks very nice Blazeeer, if u need mirror for zee WAD, PM me...
