Hello All,

Looking for a Firing Range Map to do some Weapons Training for some of our newer guys. Hate to post this in the general forum but didnt see a specific map forum.

I was told there WAS one for 3.1 but have tried Houston/Buxom Bombshells and others with no success.. If anybody knows of a map that has been modified for 1.0 can you let me know??

Thanks in advance!!

Why practice for a game in a "shooting range" when you could play the game with one another and practice the game by playing it?

There's a map called rangefield. I have it, it was for 3.1, got it off the SKULL site. Not sure where else you can find it... if you're desperate tell me.

Just get all the clanners on 2 teams at the opposite side of Caen Plaza.

Start strafing and shooting from that distance. Don't advance.

Simple enough.

You could use sturmbots. I feel that the idea of a firing range is not a realistic way to train for the actual game. Bots are not as smart as human players but at least the context is there.

I would also like such a map... anyone have a link?

Target practice is a good thing to use as a way to teach new gamers about the weapons emulations, then on to live fire.

That's why you should get Sturmbot, there's a pause feature in there.

I have sturmbot and actually use it quite a bit. I have 56k so sometimes bots are more fun.

I think that this is a excellent idea. We should have a map where there are a series of different targets or bullseyes to practice on. I know, you can just use bots and pause them. But I think that this is a really good idea and I hope we can find one or somebody makes one.

I kinda wanted to make a map like this, but I'd be hard pressed to find time with the school coming in two days, ahhh. HL2 will be out soon as well, DoD2?
