Whats the deal with env_explosion

I assumed that env_explosion replicates a grenade explosion, except for that you can scale the damage and range of the damage.

So I created an env_explosion in a spot in my map for my "air raid" I set the dmg to 10000 so that there would be an explosion that does plenty of dmg over a large area. Now not far from where I placed my env_explosion entity I have a bunker, with thick walls, that is underground. There is no direct opening between the env_explosion and the inside of the bunker.

So I test my map, I trigger the air raid, run into the bunker, thinking that I'm safe since I'm surrounded by walls 256 units thick.

But no, I get killed from the explosion.

Is damage from env_explosions supposed to go thru walls? Are there any special brushes/entities I can use to block the explosion's dmg?

Are you making dod_hiroshima or dod_nagasaki ? :D :D :D
For air strikes I suggest you to use 500 maximum.

hahah 10000 like i said is way to high, i got mortars on my map at damage 300 and even that is huge!

yea, if u want an air riad, have many explosions, not 1 big nuke.
