I really want this option in hlmv
Trp. Jed

Well I've coded it in and its sitting on my hard disk. I just dont know what the rules are about distributing it as its based on Mete's code which in turn contains elements from Valves HL SDK.
Its only a hack anyway. I havent worked out how to render additive textures yet.

You know what'd be awesome, Jed? If you could get HLMV to render like your plug-in...
I want to drive that in DoD! Run over some enemies!

OK, lets make some points clear.
1) The model isnt mine! Its included in DoD 1.0, I guess its a model thats included in the two extra maps in the retail version.
2) The whole point was the fact that this is a version of HL Model Viewer that supports the new transparent texture feature.

Thanks Ska...:)...Jed's coached me out to play....:)....he says he is going to mesh a few of my Brit weapons for me, so i can get them finished and uploaded into the community. I told him that will make a change from the norm, usually he just deletes my models straight of his Hard Drive......lol.

Nice work.
Mugsy has his own version of HLMV too with the same feature plus some others. I'm not sure if he was meaning to release it and forgot or wanted to bug test more. Last I heard he said it was ok to give out, but I would want a final word on that before I could do so.
There shouldn't be any problem with you releasing this as is. The source is given with the program.
EDIT: Nope, no mention.

Well I guessed there might be a version lurking about. I was just too bloody fed up of having to start Half-Life to check transparency.
Mugsy's version looks better - maybe he should release that one.
Ah well, I'd hope I'd got there first. :(

Can someone tell me what the hell that thing is called, and what it was used for? Thats the strangest tank Ive ever seen.
Thank You

It's called a kettenkraftrad, and one of it uses was for towing planes around from one place to another.

As far as transparency I'm sure it's the same.
The additions are in the pic but kinda hard to see. FPS are shown, how many frames, # of events, then shows the events next to.
I say toss up your blue screen version on the boards or drop Meke an email and see if you could even get some front page on planethalflife.com. I'm not sure if Mugsy wanted his version out yet or was just waiting for HL2MV.

I emailed him a few times and I sent him the source. He's not too concerned with it apparently, he hasn't updated the hlmv page in a while. When I asked him he said I was free to distribute the versions I compiled. Feel free to distrib that version among the dod community Faceman.

Why didnt you tell us about this verson of HLMV sooner? I just wasted 3 days hacking this version together. :(

Just a thought Mugsy, how about if you send Jed your source code, then if theres anything that jeds has got that yours has not, then maybe Jed could edit it to add any missing features if any. That way the community would end up with one solid HLMV, and both of you can be credited for your hard work.
Like a say it's just a thought, but it maybe worth givining it a look over.
