I'm planning on making a realistic grenade explosion sprite and I tried searching for reference pics but I can't find anything. I've always depended on this reliable community for help. Help? :)

That´s difficult.
I believe the DoD team´s custom explosion sprite is very realistic.
You would never see any big flames or something if a grenade explodes. But I have no idea how it does exactly look.

Goto a military base and see if you see any explosions :D!

It'd look like it does in BoB. It just kicks up a bunch of dirt and there's a lot of smoke and dust.

I found a short video of a grenade exploding. Whether or not its a frag grenade, I dont know, but it shouldnt matter anyhow.

Go there, and click the little movie icon next to the picture on the bottom left. The video on the bottom right is a video of a claymore exploding. If it says that you need to download some Korean text stuff, just hit cancel and it will work.

in the that short clip, he sticks down a claymore, and then it shows the explosion. so id think the explosion was a claymore...looks cool

Sure, np. Yes, the video on the bottom right is a claymore exploding, but the video on the bottom left is a hand grenade exploding.

no huge fireball explosens like those found on the lamest Rambo movies but it almost looks like no big deal. Just a load crack and a little dirty flying in either direction and a bout a human sized puff of smoke that disipates really fast into the wind.
