how do i make my map have para models instead of regular army ones?
ok I don't mean to snap at you, BUT have you actually looked at the tuts for DOD have you looked at the etntiys they tell you to use to see what the other options are or are you just blindly follwing them?
The answer to this is so freaking obvious if you had even looked at the DOD entitys. I'm all for bringing up n00bs and getting new and frech people into mapping, but I want them to put some effort in.
Look in you info_doddetect. if you still can't find it after looking in the entitys properties....

ouch...let me go get the leesh ;P
I'm sorry, but he has been around here for months poping in with occasianl question here and there. If I hadn't of been sure when he started i wouldnt of said, but tis guy has a couple of months under his belt, it really proves my point if after that long he hadn't spotted an option i spotted first day (yes i am more observant but thats nto the point).
I'm just trying to get him to explore more with what he is doing instead of putting the blue plug in the blue socket, I'm trying to get him finding out what the blue plug is connected to bfr he plugs it in. so to speak

I would usually say something evil and mean. But I can't quite think of it. Please search harder, mappers don't become great mappers in a matter of weeks.
okay maybe I was a bit OTT, but I'm at my wits end with n00bs, not new people heck no I love new people in the comunnity. but I'm just fed up of being asked the same damn question 50 times when its obvious or getting shot cuase they wanted to test FF. Its very hot and very stuffy over here, resulting in easy agrivation. I'm sorry I went OTT but i stick by my point.

Hell, I know more than these new folk, and I've been mapping, what, 3 weeks?

The FIRST thing new people here should do is :
read the Mapping FAQ. The link is at the top of the Mapping section.
If you think the tutorials there "arent that great",
well create some... These tutorials are the best you can find.
You just have to search, search, search,
and you'll find, my son ;) And use a little bit of logic.
All the links are here.
I must recognize there are 2 kinds of mappers here:
the new ones and the "old" ones. They both have a role.

It's always the simple things that can elude us at times. When things do elude us we ask for help ... simple.
Sorry ... but getting mean with people and questions like this just makes you look stupid, even more so when you are an accomplished mapper.
