I'm trying to experiment with sprites and my 1st try is making my own puff impact shots but they show up like this. I tried erasing the background and crap but the black background always appears ingame. PLEASE help :)

What are you talking about, it looks great! The black background really gives it a realistic feel ;)

ok, is the blakc the last colour in pallete, and have you set the sprite to the correct render mode when you made the .spr? chekc both of those. if your unsure wheter u did either. make sure you have a decent paint studio and spr wiz (found at VERC).

I use Adobe Photoshop and Sprite Wizard. Somebody suggested that I use the blue color to make it transparent. I'm trying it out now.

BTW Geno I killed a bot :D

The text death sprites was made by Rabid Whale, you can find it at DoDec or here in the forums :)

Agh. The transparent blue thingy didn't work.. any other suggestions? :)

Yes! I finally figured it out. I am a very happy man. Expect my first sprite release during the weekend :)

When using Sprite Wizard, choose Additive. The black will disappear.

Friday or Saturday :) This would be similar to Free Kitten's puff shot but smaller and much more realistic :)
