hey exerent is the original flash available anywhere for 1.0 , that was one of my fav maps of all time and i want to put it on my server ........ please sa it is....

Decompile the existing Flash, edit the dod_infodetect, change the ALLIED team to US, then recompile, but with the -NOENTS command.

PS Xerent is gone. He doesn't map for DOD anymore.

he isn't giving his rmfs out. I already asked him on irc :l

I think he means dod_flash as in the one without the multiple texture sets, you know the ORIGINAL flash.

well xerent lost the .rmf for the map so we he was going to fix it, he came out with flash2. nothing alike. then seeing as it was offical flash2 got re-named to flash. and here we stand with only dod_flash the original and best of the bunch fading in memory. man that is one I would LOVE to see as a dod_flash_classic.

yeah dod_flash_classic would be awesome. the first one was always the best!!:D ohhh man i wish Xerent would remake it to fit the first one as close as possible!:(

ANyway, what does Source engine (HL2??) have to do with Troika games? It has to do with Vampire the Masquerade game that uses Source, right? LOL, maybe if they get their hands on Source earlier than the DoD dev team, ahhaahah xerent can leak things to them lol...just joking...but ahhaha.

i have the original dod_flash.

it comes in the hard terrain map pack released for dod 3 (or 3.1)
im on 56k so im not going to upload it, but if somebody else wants to sort out the flash files from the others in the pack, and upload it....hard terrain map pack is where its at.

just rename various files to flash_classic and try and repackage a working version. good luck.

I asked xerent via PM about the ORIGINAL Flash and his reply was that he would NOT be updating it for 1.0.

edit: OMG, I'm sorry for that MASSIVE typo. :( Did not mean to get anyone's hopes up. Sorry. :(

I haven't tried it, but judging by the other maps with it, and 2.0 being the latest version they show, I would have to say this site has the original. And yes the download actually works.

damn thats to bad , that was probably one of if not THE best map ive ever played.. but what can ya do , i understand where ya coming from , thanks for the reply ....

Kinda sucks that hes gone for good doesnt it, ive been around since beta 1.2, was nice seeing him get better and better.
