Repel Animation

I was just browsing through my models folder, and noticed allied_grunt.

Taking a trip down memory lane, I looked at the animations.

Question: What is the point of the repel_ series of anims that seem to show the grunt jumping out of a plane? I never remember seeing that.

Could it be a hidden message? Am I just horribly mistaken?

Their left overs from Half-Life.
The grunt models have a set of standard animations used by Half-life for coding single player missions. In one of the original Half-life levels grunts repel down from a chopper to attack you so here is a repel event.

Probably was, because the anims don't look like they're going down a rope, but jumping out of a plane and parachuting.
