I'm slowly working towards completing my total hi-res weapon reskin pack, so today I started work on a hi-res Allied Grenade.

I created a brand new 512x512 metal texture from scratch and added the wear and tear and what have you. Keep in mind I haven't started skinning the grey and blue metal yet. Just the base green.

Let me know what you think. Especially about the yellow line at the top. I've seen pictures with it and some without. So let me know how it looks! Thanks :)

Nice! Will it include grenade pulling sounds?

It's on the default model, so if someone knows how to add the pinpull sounds, let me know.

its not high-res until you enlarge the mesh, right now its just a reskin.

It's not Hi-Poly. It's Hi-Resolution. So you, sir, are wrong :)

When you decompile the model, open the qc and where it says:

$sequence "pinpull" "pinpull" fps 30

add:

$sequence "pinpull" "pinpull" fps 30 { event 5004 17 "weapons/grenpinpull.wav" }

Oh, and it looks great. The yellow does look kinda weird but it might look better in the finished product. Good job.

Looks pretty good Dillinger, I dont care for the yellow part though.
That default grenade model is in bad need of a hi-poly version.

Thanks for the grenade pinpull sound info, Ikujinonai!

I added those and released the finished version (comes with both yellow line and no yellow line versions, in case you don't like it): http://www.dayofdefeat.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=178429#post178429
