FD's Lost Test Map

A few months back...after I had finished up dod_glider I wanted to make a test map to see how far the piat would fly...so I started with some glider buildings at one end...made a few brushes go all the way to the other end of the hammer grid and put another building at that end...in-between for fun I placed bunkers...trenches...and a small no-mans land...all of a sudden i had this silly, amazingly skinny, map...I forgot about it and today when clearing out some files from my web site i happened upon it...

It's laggy, it's silly, and if 10 people played it at once w/pshrecks and piats it would prolly grind to a halt...but...it's playable and it has some stuff in it to blow up and fire, the tanks have mg's on them so you have to blow them up to get by without getting shot at, there are a few places where the ground conviently blows up and a crater shows up (can you say LAGGY!!!!) and you can win the map by capping all four bunkers so I guess would fall into the small-map category of silly-map. There's a link below...I promise nothing except that I hope it runs:

Yeah...it may work for some people, for others it won't.

invasionworks.com just switched hosts, so some DNS servers may not have updated yet to reflect the changes.

FuzzDad, could you post up all of your testmaps? I've tryed the 88m cannon one and the "lost map"...I loved them both (I found out how to blow myself up with the flak cannon)...

Do you have anymore?

Yea...it was actually a map i made just to test stuff then we thought after dod ver 1 went gold we could blow off steam in a crazy 10x10 match just to play it for silly...but we never got around to it. It's kinda like a more detailed mini-map you see all the time in the CS-world. I bet that if you have a fast system it would probably be a lot of fun (it's a bit laggy on my old P2 400).

PS...my old invasionworks site isn't back up yet so you guys will have to ask around for a copy or a mirror from someone who already d/l it a while back.
