So as You all might have noticed in the Topic I upgraded my self from Milkshape to 3D Studio Max 5.
My Problem is : How can I get my old ms3d files work in 3ds ??
I tried the export option in m3ds but nearly 3/4 of the model get lost in the process.
Are there other ways to get my old files work in 3ds ???
I badly need them =(
Export to something other than .3ds. MS3D and MAX both have bugs when exporting .3ds and importing to .3ds. I suggest VRML format.

THX !!!
why didnt such simple solutions come to my mind ?!?!?
thx again :)
Because one would expect from a $10,000 program that they'd get their import and exports right ;)

The 3DS file format can't handle duplicate names. So if you've modeled something, gotten part way done, saved and closed the program. Then picked it up again later, you've most likely got duplicate names 'i.e. 2 groups called Cylinder02'. In which case one of the two will be deleted from the model. Try regrouping in order to clean things up a bit.
